| eSIM | Commonly used to mean either an embedded SIM chip or a downloadable SIM profile. |
| SGP.22 | Consumer eSIM remote SIM provisioning specification commonly adapted into some IoT router workflows. |
| SGP.32 | GSMA IoT eSIM remote provisioning specification designed for connected devices and remote estate management. |
| eIM | eSIM IoT Remote Manager, a key control concept in SGP.32. |
| APN | Access Point Name, the network configuration used by cellular devices to connect to data services. |
| Private APN | An APN used to route traffic into a controlled private network rather than the open internet. |
| CGNAT | Carrier-grade NAT, where devices share public IP addressing and are not directly reachable from the internet. |
